Our Students

Our MBA students aren't typical volunteer consultants. They arrive at Wharton with an average of five years of professional experience across consulting, finance, government, and the nonprofit sector — and they choose WGHV because they're passionate about healthcare and committed to putting their skills to work where it matters most.

Backed by the Wharton Healthcare Management department, the leading U.S program for business students interested in healthcare, and a network of 300+ alumni, our teams bring rigorous, strategic thinking to every project.

What does a WGHV project look like?

Every WGHV engagement follows a structured, semester-long process — focused enough to deliver real results, flexible enough to fit your organization's needs.

Scoping
We work with you to define a focused statement of work: a clear strategic question, concrete deliverables, and points of contact on each slide. This is where we align on scope, timeline, and what success looks like.

Kickoff
MBA project leads connect with your team to launch the engagement, confirm logistics, and establish a regular meeting cadence.

Project Work
Your dedicated WGHV team works remotely over the course of the semester, advancing analysis and deliverables with regular checkpoints and consistent communication with your team.

On-Site Visit & Final Delivery
The project culminates in an on-site visit, where the MBA team travels to your organization to present final recommendations, meet the team in person, and experience the country and culture the students have been working in.
